New Porsche Cayenne to launch soon


The new Porsche Cayenne is all set to be rolled-out in the Indian market by the end of this month, as speculated by some industry sources. The model will be launched in five variants and is expected to be priced a bit higher than the existing models of Cayenne.

A number of up-gradations and changes have been made in both the interiors and exteriors of the model. The outer body of the car has been made more elegant with a smoother and less boxy style as compared to the current model of the same. From the inside, the vehicle has become more spacious and less tacky. The top of the new Cayenne model has been made lighter which in turn has helped in reducing the total weight of the car by as much as 200 kg. While designing the interiors, a lot of styling cues have been borrowed from its sibling Panamera. The comfort level for the passenger has been increased considerably with the help of improvement in the overall space utilization. The seats of the new model are more convenient along with an enhanced legroom. 

The bookings for all of the variants of new Porsche Cayenne are open in the Indian market. Where the lowest-priced variant will come loaded with a 3.6-litre V6 (300 bhp engine), the next will be powered with a 240 bhp V6 diesel engine. With this, a hybrid variant will also be launched along with a V6 petrol (380 bhp) engine. The higher variants like Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo will be loaded with the most powerful engines, generating maximum power of 400bhp and 500 bhp respectively. The fuel efficiency of the new model has been increased by as much as 20 %.
