Maruti Kizashi launched today


Finally the most awaited sedan from Indian auto maker Maruti Kizashi is here to kick start the company's journey in luxury car segment. The luxury dip has been in news since a long time and was highly awaited on Indian shores as this will mark Maruti Suzuki's debut in sedan car segment.
Finally, 2.4 litre engine loaded Maruti Kizashi has got its official entry in huge Indian Auto market. The company has decided the minimum amount for its booking as Rs 50,000 with the deliveries starting from March 2011. The Kizashi 6-speed Manual transmission (MT) will be available in Rs 16.5 Lakh (Ex-showroom New Delhi) whereas Kizashi Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) will come at a price tag of Rs 17.5 Lakh (Ex-showroom New Delhi)
Suzuki, the Japanese parent company of Maruti India, has been selling the Suzuki Kizashi (Maruti Kizashi) in Japanese and US auto market where it has grabbed a real positive response. Maruti Kizashi, the compact sedan made its first appearance in 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show followed by 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. After making its appearance in different Auto Shows around the globe, Maruti Kizashi was launched officially in US and Japanese auto market in the month of December and October 2009 respectively. The car will be manufactured at Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Sagara plant in Japan and will enter the Indian shores as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU). The car will be made available in Indian auto market in two variants: Manual Transmission (MT) and Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).
Adressing the proud launch, Shinzo Nakanishi who is the Managing Director and CEO in Maruti Suzuki India commented that the company is extremely ptoud to make this launch and excited to see the resposnse in market. The compact saloon is a sports car loaded with a high technology 2.4 litre DOHC J–Series engine. With this advanced powertrain, Maruti Kizashi will produce a maximum power of 178 PS @ 6,500rpm. Whereas the peak torque offered with this engine amounts to 230Nm @ 4,000rpm in both type of transmission. it will be available in will be available in ‘Snow White Pearl’, ‘Super Black Pearl’ and ‘Premium Silver Metallic’ colors.  Maruti Kizashi is launched in Indian auto market with Front Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive is optional.
The car is launched with stand out handling features which will make the drive simply smooth and interesting with Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) along with the Electric Stability Program (ESP).

The compact sports car will gun the like of Toyota Carmy and Honda Accord in India. The company is extremely excited and is waiting to receive the response from market as it will be a learning experience for them. Maruti was already prepared for the launch of this luxury car evident from pin point market strategies and elite showrooms recently built by them.
