Jaguar and Land Rover will add 7 new dealers in 2011

Tata Motors Ltd. is on to promote its premium brand Jaguar and Land Rover by adding seven new dealers in India. The big news was revealed by Rohit Suri who is the head of premier car division for Tata Motors. He declared that Tata Motors will be having total of 10 dealerships across India by next the fiscal year. The increase in number of dealership across country will provide great strength to the company.

At present Tata Motors hold 3 dealers for its Jaguar and Land Rover brand, situated in Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai. Now as per new plans, the company will launch 7 more dealerships across the country. These dealership will be situated in major metros and soon the company will announce its new dealership centres for Jaguar and Land rover. Good number of dealers will certainly help them increase its sales to great extent.

This is not all in the future plans list of Tata Motors, rather company is also intending to initiate new plant in India for assembling Land Rover models. This plant will later also assemble jaguar models. Mr. Rohit denied for any information on the plant. No information on its capacity or location was disclosed by officials. Just one strong fact was revealed that the plant will assemble Land Rover model in the beginning and then will start up with Jaguar at later stage. No information on models to be assembled in this plant was given.

Mr. Rohit though commented that they might use Chikhli plant situated in Maharashtra which was earlier a centre for Mercedes Benz. At the launch of Jaguar XF Diesel S, Mr, Rohit commented that it is going to be a direct competition to BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E Class. Jaguar XF Diesel S is priced at Rs. 48.37 lakh.
