Spyker cars to be launched in India by 2011

Spyker, the swanky vehicle which buzzed with the Hollywood super actress Sharon Stone in the thriller “Basic Instinct 2” is all set to roll on the Indian terrain next year.

Spyker, the Netherlands based car manufacturer is looking forward to invest in the domestic auto market. The company has already schemed the expansion strategy, and selected the prospective partners who will export the heavy dose of speed and the dealerships for the hand crafted marvels Spyker which will be opening in New Delhi and Mumbai.

An official from the sales department of the premium luxury car Spyker, told that, Spyker wishes to expand in the potential auto markets across world and is always in search of the right ventures for the brand to invest. India is included in the scheme of investment as the company is in search for new potential markets for the brand.

Spyker, has deeply studied the market before investing in the Indian auto market. With the surveys and studies conducted the company is in talks with the potential partners in Mumbai and New Delhi. As per the insiders of the company, everything is in its initial stage.

From the company sources, it was revealed that, Spyker has already tabulated the list of the feasible partners. The company plans to announce the retail partners when all the arrangements are finalized. As per the company, it wishes to launch the premium car by 2011.

The company has not given any official statement about the price it will sell it's luxury at. The marques which comes with hand made body panels is expected to burn deep hole in the pockets. For instance, the C8 Spyder Aileron comes with a price tag of 2,20,000 pounds (almost 1.6 crore) in London, UK. Spyker is selling cars such as C8 series models The other models are LM85, C12 Zagato and D8 Peking-to-Paris worldwide.

The luxury with the super power Spyker is already a well known name in India. Vijay Mallya, the UB Group promoter and Jan & Michiel Mol, the Dutch entrepreneur have already ventured by acquiring the Spyker Formula One team, which is now known as Force India.

The luxury car market in India saw a hike in demand for the premium cars which has acted as magnets and attracted big players to invest in the upsurge growth. Bugatti Automobiles owned by the Volkswagen Group launched the super luxurious and super costly “Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport” which comes with a price tag of Rs 16 crore. Aston Martin, the UK luxury car manufacturer is also likely to open its first dealership in Mumbai with the car costing Rs 3 crore.
