Honda Motors, the Japanese auto giant has today announced that the preview of its upcoming compact car. Honda Brio is postponed for the Indian auto market.
Earlier the preview was scheduled on March 17. The major reason behind this delay is the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan last week.

The company officials have commented that looking at the last week devastating earthquake and tsunami in the home country, Honda Siel Cars India will preview its new compact car Honda Brio later and not on the scheduled on March 17, 2011.

The prototype of Honda Brio was revealed in Bangkok last year by Japanese auto giant and the intentions to launch it in Indian auto market in 2011 with a price range of Rs 5 lakh. The company then planned to bring this car in India on 17 th of March 2011 which is decided to be postponed further. The reason is the earthquake and tsunami which shattered the lives of Japanese on March 11.

Now the country is facing even bigger problem of radiation emission with a hydrogen explosion happened at one of the nuclear plant. The incident has increased the concern for Japanese further as these radiations can prove extremely harmful to them.

The officials of Honda Siel Cars India have expressed a deep condolence to quake hit people of Japan. Few days back we got the news of other Japanese major, Toyota postponing the scheduled inauguration of the Bangalore based facility which is going to be the second manufacturing unit of the company in India. The reason was again the devastating natural calamity in home country. This facility by Toyota Motors is made to produce its high demand entry level luxury car, Toyota Etios. The factory will also be employed to manufacture the hatchback version, Toyota Etios Liva at later stages.
