Bavarian tuner HS Motorsport has teamed up with Autohaus Kempen and various other aftermarket specialists to create the Audi A1 project car, which features exterior modifications, upgraded suspension and some interior appointments as well.

CFC Styling Station was in charge of the custom paintjob, an "effect-rich silver finish" combined with a black stripe that runs from the front grille to the end of the roof. The rear bumper has been modified in order to incorporate a Golf R32-style two-pipe exhaust system, specially conceived by Fox Sport Exhaust Systems for this project.

To improve handling, engineers at H&R developed a new lowered coilover suspension system (-55 mm at the front and -60 mm at the back).

No tuned car is complete without a nice set of alloy wheels. HS Motorsport offers two different designs, the ASA GT1 in a black matte finish with silver accents, and the "edgier" ASA GT2 in anthracite, both measuring 18-inches. Vredestein and Hankook provide the 215/35 R18 tires. Buyers can also opt for a more powerful braking system from Brembo.

The project car's 122 hp (91 kW) 1.4-liter TSI engine was left untouched, but the German tuner can accommodate power-hungry customers by installing a power kit that increases output to 147 hp (110 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.

Inside, there are two-tone Recaro Sportster CS seats and an optional Alpine sound system.

Raeder Motorsport runs in the VLN Championships with both an Audi A3 and Audi TT. With two dates set in October, the motorsport season is far from over. The TT RS uses the 5 cylinder TFSI engine and components from the Audi R8 LMS.

At the same time that the DTM competes at Hockenheim the customer sport program of AUDI AG that was launched with the Audi R8 LMS will probably feature an additional vehicle: at the last two rounds of the Endurance Championship Nürburgring on October 16 and 30, Team Raeder Motorsport will contest the SP 4T class with the prototype of an Audi TT RS that is jointly developed by the Technical Development (TE) and Production divisions of AUDI AG and quattro GmbH. In the test races the vehicle, which spearheads a potential modular customer sport concept based on the TT, will be driven by Marc Hennerici and Christopher Mies. Audi thereby responds to the high demand by customers wishing to use the TT and other vehicles of the brand in motorsport.

The prototype uses a five-cylinder TFSI engine and features racing-specific new developments in the areas of the body, suspension and aerodynamics. In addition, the team was able to adopt some components from the R8 LMS in order to make maximum use of synergies

By most accounts it is, packing a 340 horsepower, turbocharged inline five, it's good for a four-and-a-half-second sprint to sixty and a 174 mph top speed. But if you're going after the triple-century metric mark (close to 200 mph), you're going to need a little something extra.

So says MTM. And they ought to know. The German tuning house has a history of taking Audis to the V-max and beyond, having brought an RS6 Avant to 344.2 km/h in 2009, a radical twin-engine TT to 393.6 in 2007 and a Bentley to 331 in 2008.

In an effort to take the TT RS past the 300 mark without the need for breaching the 500 hp mark, MTM tweaked the ECU, modified the turbo spools and fitted a new exhaust system – along with new wheels, tires and brakes. The result of the engine mods was 472 hp, enough to get its customized TT RS up to a GPS-certified top speed of 312 km/h (just under 194 mph) at Italy's Nardo test track. And they'll sell you the modifications too, for a price: €14,500 for the engine mods and another €9,973 for the suspension and wheel work, taxes and installation included.

Having proven their point about power:speed ratios, MTM's also working on a 500+hp version.
