Updated hatchback Mazda2 prepares for a debut

The Spanish website Automocionblog has published the first espionage photos of updated compact hatchback Mazda2.

Car tests were spent in the resort city of Ibiza. Judging by pictures, the car will receive other registration of a front part of the body, executed in stylistics of last novelties of the company — Mazda3 following generation, and also restyling MX-5, RX-8, CX-9 and CX-7.

Updated hatchback Mazda2 will have other front bumper with a large central air intake and horizontal "crossbeam", and also characteristic ventilating sections on each side with the built in fog lights. The car rear practically will not change. Whether the passenger compartment will be modernised, at present it is not known.

It's expected that restyling hatchback Mazda2 in the European car market begins to be offered with the same 1,3-litre gasoline engines capacity of 75 and 86HP, 1,5-litre, developing 103HP, and also with a 90-strong 1,6-litre turbodiesel. According to some information, the premiere of a novelty is planned on October automobile show in Tokyo.
