Toyota Etios Liva to be launched in April 2011

Toyota Motors will launch the hatchback version of Toyota Etios Liva in the Indian domestic market in April, 2011. Toyota Etios sedan was launched in the garden city yesterday (1st December) by the Japanese automobile manufacturer, Toyota Motors India. The Toyota Motors is coming with two models of its new car Toyota Etios the saloon version launched yesterday and the hatchback Toyota Etios Liva which was unveiled yesterday.
As per the Toyota Officials, the company plans to launch the Toyota Etios Liva the hatchback version in April 2011, in India. The hatchback will be affixed with 1.2 litre petrol engine. The new hatch will mark the company's first entry in the domestic auto sector. The hatchback will pitch against Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and Volkswagen Polo.
The Toyota Etios saloon is an eye catcher is fitted with 1.5 litre DOHC engine with five speed manual transmission. This power wagon can churn 90 Ps with the maximum torque of 132 Nm. This premium sedan is priced between Rs 4,96,000 to Rs 6,86,500 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). As per the ARIA standard the car offers a mileage of 17.6 kmpl. The sedan is available in five variants Toyota Etios J, Toyota Etios G, Toyota Etios G Safety, Toyota Etios V and Toyota Etios VX in six different colour. The saloon version will give tough competition to Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Manza.
Sandeep Singh, the deputy managing director of Toyota Kirloskar said that, the Toyota Motors expects to sell 70,000 cars of the Toyota Motors Etios hatchback and sedan version in 2011. Toyota Kirloskar is partnership between Toyota the Japanese auto giant and the Kirloskar, the Indian group.
Toyota Motors rolled out the sedan is a premium category car which is a definition of high standard, luxury, comfort at competitive prices. The launch was graced with the presence of the President of Toyota Motors Akio Toyoda. Toyota from a long time was planning to enter the low priced segment cars in India. The small car market holds great potential in the auto sector and to utilize the same Toyota Motors has launched its much awaited car.
Toyota aims to capture 10 per cent of the total domestic market share by 2015. As many as 4,000 engineers were developing the technology for five years which will be best suited for the auto sector. The company in 2009-10 sold more than 15 lacs cars in India.
