The Indian auto giant Tata Motors has come up with yet another brainwave in wake of promoting the 'people's car' Tata Nano.
Tata Motors will display the wonder car at Big Bazaar, the consumer retail network of the Future Group. Tata Nano will be sold through Big Bazaar, this is the first time a passenger car will be displayed and sold at a consumer retail network.Big Bazaar is spread all over the country, various outlets are scattered across the nation. Tata Nano will be displayed in around 120 Big Bazaar outlets out of 148 outlets in India. In order to attract the customers, the customers who will book Tata Nano through the Big Bazaar outlet will receive a gift such as gold coins, and vouchers worth Rs 1,500.
Both the companies are optimistic that this symbioses is going to benefit both the companies. For Tata Motors it is one another platform wherein they get a chance to pull in customers. On the other hand Future Group is looking at it as a new venture, this gives them an opportunity to expand their portfolio in terms the range of products offered at the outlet.
Tata Motors has witnessed astounding hike in the sales of the wonder car after the company made the announcement of a four-year warranty for its current and new customers in December 2010. After the company rolled out this lucrative offer for its customers, the sales of Tata Nano witnessed an upward trend and the company managed to sell 8,262 Nanos in the month of February 2011. With the sudden surge in the sales of Tata Nano, the car has accounted its name amid top ten cars in terms of sales in India.
